So I haven't had any time or long enough connection to update on my trip sailing around the Greek Islands, so here is a long update, and a few photos to illustrate the experience.
Around Athens: 2nd June:
We left our hotel at 10am, but were to meet our sailing tour
group at 5pm.
To kill the time we wandered around the city of Athens, and made our way to the marina.

This involved getting lost and also finding the ‘information
centre’ wasn’t where it said it was.

Sailing Greece:
We met our sailing tour group, which consisted of 8 tourists
plus our skipper, Jimmy.
There is one other Australian, and three other Canadians on our tour – who are all awesome.
We had a long start, as it took a while to sail off, but once we were off it was amazing.
Blue skies and water, and lots of sun. We pumped music as we made our way across the ocean, and came to our first island: Amaryllis.
This was a sweet, quiet place with little white and blue buildings.
we had a shared dinner to taste some traditional greek cuisine, which was nice.

That night, we set off on a night sail. I got an hour and a
half of sleep – compared to some who stayed up all night.
We sailed to the temple of persidon, which was actually on
mainland Greece.
Arriving at 6.30am meant nothing was open, so we hung around until after midday before moving onto Kea.

Me and Kelvin, the Koala from Steve :)
Kea was so cute. A little strip of all sorts of shops and
colourful buildings greeted us at the port.
We had great souvlaki shortly after we arrived.

After leaving Kea, we had a short stop at an
island for the hot springs. I did a bit of experimenting with the underwater
housing on my camera. Its very difficult to use though.
Adventures with Kelvin:
Serifos Island:
We’re in Serifos at the moment, which is a beautiful island
with buildings towering upon steep hills.
We hired cars to explore the island during dusk, which was absolutely beautiful.
The town is really cute, with white and blue houses to live up to my typical vision of what Greece would be like.

SYROS
We explored Syros by foot, and went into main town too - which was very busy.
The port was in a quieter area, where I visited the local bakery and walked through the farm/suburban areas.
Woooo!
